In the Dnipropetrovsk region, eight coal mines experienced a power outage following a recent Russian attack.

The Ministry of Energy confirmed on November 6 that at the time of the incident, 2,595 miners were situated underground.

Mine personnel and rescue teams quickly coordinated the evacuation of all individuals to the surface. Preliminary reports indicate that no fatalities or injuries occurred.

“Russia continues energy terror. Another strike jeopardized the lives of thousands of miners. Russia continues to fight civilians. The Russian tactic is clear—to leave Ukrainians without light and heat in winter,” Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk stated.

Just days earlier, on the night of November 4, Russian forces launched a missile and drone attack across the region, according to regional governor Vladyslav Haivanenko.

The Mykolaiv community in the Synelnykove district sustained heavy bombardment during this assault. A 65-year-old woman was killed, and eight people were injured, including two children. Haivanenko reported that a 15-year-old boy would receive outpatient care, while a 5-year-old girl and two adults remain hospitalized in serious condition.

The attack resulted in fires that damaged a café-store, a private house, one car, and 12 residential buildings.

Previously, Russian shelling resulted in a temporary power loss to mines located in the Dobropillia community of the Donetsk region, leading to 148 miners becoming trapped underground.
