Bulgaria, a NATO member, has clarified that it is not involved in the US–Israel conflict with Iran.

Although the long distance from Iran makes a missile or drone strike unlikely, there is growing public concern over the presence of American fighter jets in the country, which are stationed as part of NATO joint exercises.

Meanwhile, neighboring Azerbaijan has reportedly placed its military and security services on high alert, deploying additional troops and defense assets to its southern border with Iran.

Azerbaijan has also deployed anti-drone units and defense systems capable of intercepting low-flying aircraft along its border with Iran. Opposition politician Yadigar Sadigli described the heightened alert as a necessary response to the unpredictable nature of the ongoing conflict.

He explained, “The head of state, of course, must take certain precautions, undertake certain steps, and if they have taken them, I think that’s normal. A lot can happen. Tomorrow, chaos could arise, some kind of a military unit commander could take action independently.”

Earlier, he United Kingdom has sent elite counter-drone experts to the Middle East to safeguard military bases against possible Iranian drone attacks.

The team consists of personnel from the 12th Brigade of the Royal Artillery, the British Army's main unit specialized in combating unmanned aerial systems.
