In the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, rescuers have completed recovery operations following a Russian airstrike on May 7, which resulted in the death of one woman and left 14 others injured.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on May 9.

The emergency and search operations at the partially destroyed nine-story building lasted nearly two days. A woman’s body was recovered from the rubble by rescuers.

Additionally, over 2,000 strikes were reported along the front line and residential areas in the Donetsk region during the past 24 hours, leaving three people injured.

On April 28, Putin announced a unilateral ceasefire from midnight on May 8 through midnight on May 10 to coincide with Russia’s observance of Victory Day.

Despite the Kremlin’s statement, Ukrainian troops encountered 117 combat engagements along the front line on the first day of Russia’s self-declared “humanitarian ceasefire.”
