Ukrainian defense companies Culver Aerospace and GLEFA have unveiled a new mid-range strike drone known as the “Behemoth,” capable of striking targets at distances of up to 300 kilometers.

According to Defender Media and materials released by the developers on May 21, the drone has already undergone combat use. Published specifications indicate that the system can carry a warhead weighing up to 75 kilograms and is designed to fly at low altitude to reduce the likelihood of detection by air defense systems.

The “Behemoth” reportedly uses a tandem warhead combining an explosively formed penetrator with a thermobaric charge. Developers stated that the platform can function both autonomously and in FPV mode, while communications are supported through Starlink connectivity.

Ukrainian media covering the presentation noted the drone’s visual and operational similarities to Iranian-designed Shahed loitering munitions, which Russia has extensively used during long-range strikes against Ukrainian infrastructure.

The companies also introduced a separate “Behemoth Deepstrike” version, although no additional technical characteristics of the variant were publicly disclosed.

Earlier, Ukraine was reported to have surpassed Russia in the number of long-range drone strikes conducted in a single month, with Ukrainian deep-strike drones increasingly targeting Russian oil refineries, air bases, naval infrastructure, and military facilities deep inside Russian territory.

Culver Aerospace is known for developing aerial reconnaissance systems, including the “Skif” drone platform, alongside other undisclosed defense technologies. In April, the company announced a partnership with German defense technology firm Helsing focused on joint drone development and production in Germany.
