In the early hours of October 26, a powerful explosion occurred on the railway section between the temporarily occupied settlements of Chernihivka and Stulneve in the Berdiansk district of the Zaporizhzhia region.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (HUR) on October 29.

As a result of a successful special operation carried out by representatives of the resistance movement against the Russian forces, train loaded with military cargo was derailed. This operation was aimed at disrupting the occupiers' military logistics.

The sabotage resulted in the damage of approximately 70 meters of railway track, completely paralyzing traffic on that section. Scattered along and across the twisted tracks were one locomotive, three railway platforms, and at least nine freight cars belonging to the Russian military train.

The successful railway operation comes amid mounting logistical and technical problems for the Russian forces in the same area. Agents of the ATESH partisan movement have reported severe issues with the air-defense systems used by the Russian forces on the Zaporizhzhia axis.

Citing their sources within the air-defense units, ATESH stated that the equipment is in a catastrophic condition. According to their October 14 statement, the mass failure of anti-aircraft systems, including the crucial Tor SAM complexes, is a direct result of international sanctions, strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on repair facilities, and production defects from overburdened Russian military enterprises.

The acute shortage of operational systems has reportedly forced Russian forces to resort to highly vulnerable deployment methods. ATESH notes that the Russian forecs are now using tractors to tow launcher units into position. This practice, they warn, makes the expensive complexes extremely exposed, essentially turning them into easy targets for Ukrainian precision strikes.

Earlier, Ukrainian assault troops retook the village of Mali Shcherbaky in the Zaporizhzhia region. This victory represents a tactical gain for Ukraine on one of the southern front's most heavily disputed sectors.
