Ukraine’s ambitious plan to acquire up to 150 Gripen fighter jets from Sweden could soon become a three-country project. While Stockholm would supply the aircraft, Canada may play a critical role by assembling Gripens for Ukraine, creating a defense partnership that stretches from Scandinavia to North America.

Ukraine’s long-range strike campaign reached one of Russia’s most politically symbolic cities, hitting the Petersburg Oil Terminal as Moscow prepares to host foreign guests at its flagship economic forum.

“Through our work, we want every single living member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to know firstly, no matter who you are or how you were killed, we will get you home. And secondly, we want every enemy soldier to know: we will find you, and we will make you pay for every single body you see here strewn across the ground. There is no escape, and there will be no mercy.”
